The Kardingebultra is a super fun running race in the Kardinge area, near Groningen. This is not just any race: you run a lap of almost 6.7 kilometres with a little bit of climbing. But, there’s a special twist: you have to run each lap within an hour. If you fail to do so, you quit the race. The Kardingebultra is about perseverance and challenging yourself. Can you handle being ready for the next lap every hour? This is your chance to show what you can do. But beware, only a certain number of people can participate, so be quick!
24 laps in 24 hours
You will keep running laps, with a new lap starting every hour. You can run for up to 24 hours, that’s 24 laps or 100 miles! Only one person can be the winner: the one who runs the most laps or who is the fastest in the last lap.
This event is special because you run the same lap over and over again, every hour. It is a real test to see how long you can last. It’s not just about speed, but also perseverance and strategy. Can you run smart and distribute your forces well?
When is the Kardingebultra
The race starts on Saturday 20 July 2024 at 2pm. Participating costs 42.50 euros per person or 80 euros if you run in pairs as a team. For this money, you get a start number, they keep track of your time, and there is a place where you can grab food and drinks. You also get a special memento and more fun stuff.
Every participant gathers in recreation area Kardinge, on the east side of Groningen. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking space. And if you come by public transport, that’s no problem either.
